Hangin' At Da Zoo

Donovan here. It's been quite a day, as the whole gang got up early and visited this store that sells -- get this -- donuts AND ice cream. I nearly soiled my diaper with glee. I enjoyed an entire chocolate covered from this wonderful restaurant (known as Dunkin' Donuts) and was assured that we'd be back soon to partake of their Baskin Robbins ice cream (or, as I prefer to call it: "ice... meeeeeeem").

And oh yeah, we went to the zoo, too. Here's a partial transcript of the clever exchange that took place the entire day between my boy Grant and me:

Me: Mine
Grant: Mine
Me: Mine
Grant: No
Me: Mine
Grant: Mine
Me: No
Grant: No
Me: Mine

And then we'd hit each other.

Anyway, on with the day. Here are some scenes from the fun. Enjoy while I look around our kitchen for another... wait, there's one, behind that loaf of bread... NOOOOO-NUTT... MMMMMMMM!

Gettin' Ready...

Goin' uphill...

A couple of Jackson and Madison practicing their usual restraint...

Jackson, come here, it will be kind of funny if we get our picture taken by this sign... Who's afraid of a little old elk. Not us! Hahaha... Wait, what's that noise? What's that thing with the horns? He looks kinda upset...

And finally, here's how we all felt when it was over...

The zoo looked like a perfect place to spend a fall day. It is great that you and your friends could spend a fun day together in the sunshine. If you had come to Pennsylvania on Saturday, you would have been in the rain all day. Have a good week at school. Love, Grandma C.

I miss all four of you rugrats terribly and am glad you are having so much fun together during the week and weekend. I still have to go to this zoo you all talk about non-stop, maybe Phil and I could take you some time so your parents can get some much needed rest!

the zoo is such a fun place to spend a nice day- haven't had a nice day here in a while. Sometime you have to ask Aunt Lisa what it is like to visit behind the scenes at the Bronx Zoo in New York. Great Aunt Barbara"s Emil was the head vet at that zoo for many years. I got to give a bath to a baby hippo. Hope to see you soon- love, grandma Bunny
