Jackson Sings

I've noticed that my (so-called) little brother has been writing a little more on this blog than me. And not that I'm counting, but I'm losing the photo count by like three to zero (with one of both).

So, to balance things out, I offer up this mini-album of Jackson DeWitt standards. Some are a little late for the season, but their timelessness makes up for it. Note the mastery of pitch and tone, and the way my voice lulls the listener to sleep, only to punctuate the important verses. And ignore the slight cold.

Enjoy:

Great singing Jackson! I particularly enjoyed the "Ha, ha, ha" part of Jingle Bells and how you, oh so southernly, draw out "bells" into a polysyllabic word.

However, where is the great Indiana fight song????? I thought that was your favorite. Yeah, the Hoosiers are having a down year on the hardwoods, but that is no reason to stop singing that song, in fact, that should be inspiration to sing it louder and at greater frequency!

I love you,
Your friend,
Bets

Grandma Bunny thinks you have a wonderful voice, Jackson. Tell your dad that he should teach you the Buckeye Battlecry- he probably doesn't know it though. Kisses to all.

Hey there, Jackson:
Yours is about the best version of ellemenopee
that I ever heard. I predict a great career in music
for you. Now if you could only get your brother to
keep time, you could go on the road with your Mom
teaching you new songs and your Dad as business
manager. But you've got to practice - every day and
over and over. And don't pay any attention to the looks
on your parents' faces when you sing Jingle Bells in July for the 702nd time. Your friend, Jerry Lackamp
