Big Paper
Jackson here. April 4, 2005. A day many will associate with greatness in Chapel Hill. Yes, that's right, Mom finished her big paper. We haven't been able to post on our blog for a week, we've been so overcome with joy.
The post-dissertation celebration on Franklin Street was quite a scene...
So, barring a complete collapse or improper margins, Mom is a doctor now. Thank goodness Dad's still an uneducated goober, or my brother and I might feel intimidated.

I hope that crowd isn't burning your "big paper." There are a few people in that picture standing in a circle around a glow that looks an awful lot like the flames from a dissertation...
Do you have to get new return address labels now that say "Mr. and Dr. DeWitt?"

I glad the big paper is finally finished. Get that cap and gown ready. We will have our own big party in May. Grandma C. And I think the correct address labels should read Dr. and Mr. DeWitt.
